Menu too wide due to text – Need it to run onto 2 lines

Hi,
I am impressed by the simplicity of this plugin although I am having some slight trouble customizing the appearance of my vertical secondary menu. Each page in the menu has a fair amount of text in which is more or less necessary.
I would like to find a way to stop the menu being too wide and running into the other site content because of the text length. I need to avoid cutting down the length of the page names. I would think the best way to do this is have it so each menu item can run into 2 lines so I can fit more in whilst keeping the menu a width that fits.
How can I do this, if not are there any other solutions?
