• Hi,

We need to set up a user to help manage events manager from our site backend (wp-admin).

I created a new user and gave it an Editor role.

However, when we try to login to the backend, it always redirects us to a user management page, but in the front end. We tried everything we could think of and were not able to access the backend with this user.

Is there an Options setting we are not getting right, or does the plugin not support Editors from accessing the backend or do we have a bug?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

This sounds like a possible conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

    Thanks for the reply

    I’m using WordPress 4.7.2.

I’ve tried everything I can think of to change a user role to Editor, but nothing works. When I log in as that user, all I get is the regular site view with the admin bar across the top. The only options on the admin bar are to go to www.ads-software.com, search and log out.

I installed the User Role Editor plugin to check permissions, etc. The used in question is flagged as an Editor.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks.

    Rick
