Updating subscriber profile through plugin?

Is there or will there be any way to update existing subscriber info without having to deal with mailchimps profile page? I`m refering to:

Update existing subscriber (YES | NO)
Display an update link when a user is already subscribed to the list, allowing them to generate an email where they can update their subscribtion info – instead of displaying a “user already subscribed” message.

Is there some hack or something that would allow existing subscribers to use some other forms on our website and instead of getting ALREADY SUBSCRIBED – EDIT PROFILE HERE just to directly change their profile with fields and options from the new form?
