Do you empty spam queue or leave it?

Each day, I get about 200 spam messages in my spam queue even with akismet. Am I supposed to empty it from queue or leave it in queue? I know akismet looks for patterns in spam and learns what to block/allow so do I have to leave samples of spam in the queue for it to learn what I don’t want?

I get so much spam that it is impossible for me to even check for false positives. It’s possible I may have deleted some false positives..
