• FYI I’m a total beginner at WordPress (inherited it from the last person in my position). I have the Extensio Theme and NextGen gallery plugin, which I’ve been using for about a month – no problem. I recently added a gallery to a post, which also includes other galleries, but somehow I must have messed with the gallery settings, because now there are random gallery boxes showing up on the page. It only happens on 2 pages when the galleries are in “thumbnail mode): the home page and our Projects page. The issues doesn’t occur when in Slideshow mode.

    https://www.dps-sc.com/ and https://www.dps-sc.com/sp_cpt/projects/nggallery/thumbnails

A “floating” box appears in the right sidebar area. When you hover over the box, it changes to blue, and then when you click on the box, another box appears on the left side of the screen, and then when you click on THAT second box, it disappears, but the box on the right sidebar still remains.
Right-clicking on either box gives you the option to open that same webpage in another tab, so obviously there are extra links I’ve inadvertently added somewhere. Could I have created these multiple links by deleting and then adding the same gallery to the Projects post?
The only thing I can think of is that I was playing around with the gallery settings, but why would a random box appear?
Thank you in advance for helping a beginner!

@https://www.ads-software.com/support/profile/luminary7 – The NextGEN Gallery thumbnails with the “boxes” underneath are a thumbnails display with pagination (the boxes), unless I am not understanding the issue you are describing for them.

You may be able to better insert the galleries using the following shortcode:

    [ngg_images gallery_ids=1 display_type=photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails disable_pagination=1 images_per_page=1 show_all_in_lightbox=1 use_imagebrowser_effect=0]

… just change the gallery_ids parameter as needed.

As to the “blue box” in the slider at the top of the page(?), that is not a NextGEN Gallery display item and I am not certain why that is now happening on your site.

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais,

Yes, I know about the thumbnails display, which is fine; that’s what I intended for that page. I was mainly concerned about the “blue box” issue.

Now that I know it have nothing to do with the NextGen plugin, I’ll ask my web developer to assist.

    Thank you!
