Remove side menu from Zerif Lite theme

I am using the Zerif Lite theme and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to remove the side menu from the pages. the one that has the search filed and says ‘Recent Comments’, ‘Categories’ and so on.

I assume it’s just hack of one of the PHP file, but I’m not quite savvy enough to figure it out.
