switchEditors() in 2.5

  • I just upgraded to WP 2.5 and when I try and post, the html editor mode won’t toggle.

    Firebug reports the following js error on load:

    “tinyMCE.importThemeLanguagePack is not a function”
    in reference to:
    “tinyMCE.importThemeLanguagePack(‘advanced’);”

    When I try and hit the button that switches to html editing mode, Firebug notes this error:
    “switchEditors.go is not a function”

    Anyone have an idea about what’s going on here?

  • Looks like the upgrade didn’t go well as some files seem missing. Try deleting wp-admin and wp-includes directories and upload fresh copies.

    make sure you upload the files in ascii mode.

    We have since re-installed 2.5 and continue to have this issue. The files are being uploaded in the same manner previous version were, and all those versions worked except this one.

    After the second install not working, we moved back to 2.3 and things are fine again.

    Anyone have any further clues as to what might be the cause of this?
