    Hello, Aldo!

Just noticed another issue while setting up news section for my frontpage using “Posts in Sidebar” plugin: when your post type is “topic” and “comments=true” there is a text “Comments are closed” in the resulting topic listing. Technically this is true, just because comments are closed for topic post type, but I was expecting to see the count of the existing comments and the “Leave a comment” link.

Is there something you can do about this for the future builds?
    Thank you in advance!

BTW, it may be a good idea to make “Leave a comment” and “Comments are closed” text configurable to user, so we can translate it.

    Hello Valery,
the plugin uses the standard WordPress function to get the comments of the post. Topics and Replies are a bbPress’ object different than standard comments, so it says “Comments are closed”.

As I said in another thread, I will take a look at bbPress. Hope I will find a way to integrate bbPress into this.

Regarding the “Leave a comment” and “Comments are closed” strings, these are translatable and you can change them for your language via .po file.

Yes, please, consider integrating bbPress deeply into ‘PIS’, as this is an important part of the WordPress site for many of us.

    Thanks for the info!
