    Hello,

I hope someone will be able to assist me with my problems:

I created a shop with woo commerce for wordpress with the multisite function. (English and German)

The english shop is found under exampleshop.com and the German one under exampleshop.com/de

In the topbar there is two buttons to switch between both languages. When I switch to the German shop, everything changes properly, except the woo commerce cart in the topbar. So instead “0 Artikel” it still says “0 items”.

If I continue on the German shop page and add a product to the cart, the cart in the topbar changes into German language.

I’m not sure what’s going on, because my woo commerce theme (claudio) supports loco translate and in the settings, everything seems to be translated correctly.

    2) Although all e-mail templates seem to be translated correctly on Loco Translate, one e-mail of woo commerce (Refunded E-Mail) is not fully translated when sent to the customer.
It says “Shipping, product, price, refund” everything in English instead of German, but the order details like the product title are shown correctly in German language.

May someone help me with those issues? ??

    Thank youuuuu!

The widget/cart totals gets cached to the browser. The only way to flush this cache would be to change the cart hash when the translation changes.

This would need to be taken care of in custom code or from the translation plugin you’re using. WC doesn’t have core code to handle multi-language because its not part of WordPress itself.

    Heeeey,

thank you for your advice on the cart issue.

Do you maybe also have a solution for problem no. 2 with the “refund” e-mail? ??

    Thanks so much!

#2 just sounds like missing strings in your MO file. The emails are all translated in the same way.

    Hey Mike!

#2: Could this be resolved in the Loco Translate Plugin or how would I be able to change that?

    Thankyouuuu

If thats how you translate strings, yes. You can translate it here too https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce

But what do I do when the strings are already translated correctly in the plugin but the refund-email is still half german / half english? ??

    Plugin Contributor Mike Jolley (a11n)

    (@mikejolley)

Then you should definitely re-check those translation files. If its half and half there would have to be missing strings in your PO and MO file..

Sorry for asking but how do I do that?

In Loco Translate Plugin everything is translated correctly.

So what should I do? ??

    Thank you!

What string is it exactly? Screenshot would help.

Ok, so since no strings are translated I’d expect this is due to the translation plugin/lang switcher. It must think the language is english rather than DE. It would be down to the language plugin/integration to switch to the language the order is made in – woocommerce won’t track this on the language plugins behalf.

So what do you suggest I do? ??

    Plugin Contributor Mike Jolley (a11n)

    (@mikejolley)

Unless it has an WooCommerce integration I cannot really say. It would need to store the purchased-in language and then switch languages before sending.

    So you don’t think it’s a woocommerce issue? ??

Do you maybe have an advice on what exactly to do? ??

    Plugin Contributor Mike Jolley (a11n)

    (@mikejolley)

I don’t know, because WC and WordPress don’t have built in support for multi language. I’m not familiar enough with loco translate to suggest a solution.
