  • Hey Birgit

The shortcode currently does not support the sort order parameter, so that would be why it’s not working for you right now ??
I have however been getting this question quite often lately so I’ll have a look at adding this. Let me get back to you in a couple of days!

Thanks for much for getting back to me! Ha. That explains it.
It seems at the moment we worked it out via publishing date adjustments. But it really would help if we could use the already available field for sort order, and if you take a feature request, to make the sort order also available when displaying sponsors by categories. So it would bleed through..
I am not the best php coder, but I am a thorough tester (haha) and a set of site that also could use this plugin. So shoot me an email [email protected] if you need help with this plugin.

    Hey Birgit

I just release an update that adds menu_order sorting to the shortcode by default.
Can you try the update on your end?

    Thanks!

So the shortcode to test would look something like this?
    [sponsors images=”yes” style=”linear” size=”medium” description=”no” menu_order=”yes”]

You don’t have to add the “menu_order” option, it’ll do that by default.

I’m having the same problem here:
    https://www.gl12racing.com/partners/

it’s putting them in date order – so I have to fudge the dates to get them in the correct order!

Hey @batate (and @bhp), and the parameter actually is “orderby”, which defaults to “menu_order”. So you shouldn’t have to add it.

Do make a new post here if you’re still having any issues!
Thanks for using my plugin ??
