Just updated to WP 4.5 and when I go to edit a page, I get:

    “Loading please wait…” Forever.

No way to get past it, happening on all pages.

The site itself is undamaged, and everything else in the Dashboard works.

    Visual Composer, help!

Not a theme, not a plugin, what IS Visual Composer, anyway?

  • I have exactly the same problem!, so will be very interested to know any answers, whilst i try to find out what may be happening.

I think its WP Bakery Visual composer. With me it’s not seen in plugins as its built into the theme. I have a folder called “framework” in the theme and ‘wpbakery” in that. My theme isnt supported in 4.5 so im a bit stuck.

There may be some things to try here..

I’m trying to downgrade this site from 4.5 to 4.4 keeping all plugins and other things intact. Does anyone know the best way to do this?

Hi, I had the same issue. I reverted back to 4.4 using a backup I had made of my site the day before I updated to 4.5. Hopefully the plugin author will release an update soon, but in the mean time I can’t have a broken site.

Just upgraded to 4.6, and Visual Composer is “Loading, please wait…” forever. How can I know the version of Visual Composer I’m using ? I have Command X as theme.

What can be done ? It is a major problem because I can no longer update my web site.

    Thanks

Since that is a commercial plugin, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best.

    https://support.wpbakery.com

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.

Hey there, I have the same problem and honestly the answer the moderator has nothing to do with the problem. Can anyone provide some help!!!

    Try this solution:
    Increases memory WP Memory Limit

    Add:

    define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’ );

    in archive: wp-config.php
