I have strange issue with wordpress 4.5 update. It caused my woocommerce website unable to any product in cart. No notification message nothing. After pressing add to cart button it just refreshes the page. I have tried all themes. Do not working out. However my testing website working fine after update. Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    What theme?

    Have a link?

Website available at https://www.ledworld.ca and ledworldlighting.com
For now I have reverted to old WordPress version. So it’s working fine. I have tried our custom theme as well as Twenty Twelve, store front. Result is the same. Interesting thing is that our test website and another live website https://www.huedaled.com has no issue at all after update.

If you’ve swapped back I cannot check, but next time open up your error console (view > developer > javascript console in chrome) and see whats listed.

For ledworld.ca it resolved by itself. I had changed url in database from https to http, then update to 4.5. It works now. Is it the possible reason? I still shy away for ledworldlighting.com.

Ajax requests cannot work across protocols so it could be related.

Hi I’ve got the same issue on my website having just updated to WordPress 4.5, no products can be added to the shopping cart as it just states “please choose product option” even though it’s selected and also the homepage sliders no longer work either.

TJM82 Yours is another theme issue caused by the updated jquery 4.5 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/o3tddsy4bkmp307/2016-04-15%20at%2023.42.png?dl=0

Contact theme author or look for an update.

Thanks Mike, the theme is a custom one based on enfold I think so I’ll check.

Would rolling back jquery work or do I need to sit tight for an update? I don’t have FTP access to roll back to WordPress 4.4.2 which would prob be the quick fix.

If its custom you’d be best best fixing the javascript thats erroring.

Thanks Mike, appreciate the prompt replies. I should prob point out I didnt create the theme and fixing coding isnt something im familiar with in the admin panel.

If you can explain in lehman terms how to fix it ill give it a try before resulting to crying into my morning cereal in defeat!

If you can find where that code I screenshot is, I think its just missing quotes.

    a[href="*=#"]

But its a minified script so I guess the developer needs to fix it for you….

Thanks Mike, yeh not something Id know how to do im afraid, thanks for trying to help though. As its the weekend ill have to sit tight until Monday to see if i can get someone who knows wht to do to take a look for me.

Really annoying when an update stops things from working, especially when its the customer being able to proceed with a products purchase.

FYI anyone else having the same issues I have managed to gain back functionality by (a. Asking someone who knew what they were doing) and b. Rolling jquery back to v1.9. By installing the WP Rollback plugin.

Don’t keep that rolled back for ever, try to get the author to patch their code ??

I got following warning in browser developer console.

JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.0

Is that at the root of the issue?
