Since this weekend (Saturday), the pictures on all the new posts I put on my blog are not showing in Safari. Same thing with picture on my header. They do show up in Chrome. I tried emptying the cache, changing the theme, updated everything. I tried with iPad and computers. Readers tried from their own devices.

    Any ideas what’s causing this?

    Thanks for your help!

This is 100% more difficult to debug when Mouse Right Click is disabled. Ontop of that it’s a fruitless attempt to keep content and images from being “stolen” as if someone really wants it there are many more ways to get it ( F12, F11, search engines, etc. ).

There’s some javascript errors in the console which may ( or may not ) be the root cause of the issue. The images show up fine in:

    – Windows 10 Google Chrome
    – Windows 10 Internet Explorer
    – Windows 10 Firefox

Which means that the issue is more than likely a Javascript issue or CSS issue. Your best bet is to contact the theme author and hope they will push out a patch to the theme or worst case hire a dev to narrow down the issue.

Thanks for you input, I will look into it. I tried 2 other theme by 2 different authors but same issue…

    Hi Frenchlily,

It seems the issue is coming from jQuery being loaded twice, which typically causes conflicts: once by WordPress, and once by the df-shortcode. Can you disable that df shortcode plugin and see what happens?

    Hi Xavier,

Can you tell me how I can disable it? I’m sorry but I know nothing about coding…

If you go to the Dashboard (Tableau de Bord), there should be a Plugin / Installed Plugins (Extensions? Je ne me souviens plus comment c’est traduit) menu on the left. If you click on this, you should see that DF Shortcode plugin somewhere and there should be a link to disable it.

If not, it may be bundled in the theme…

    Let me know.

Found it! Didn’t see it at first ’cause it was under another theme . I disable it but didn’t seems to change anything. I’ll try to put another picture and see if this one works.

It doesn’t work with the old pictures from Saturday but I can now add header and new pictures! THANK YOU so much Xavier! Seems to be resolved ??

    Glad it works!

I looked at the javascript errors though, and it seems there is still an issue with another plugin called “Riddle Playful Content on the Go” or something like that?

But I guess you don’t need to worry if everything works as they should!
