Update to 4.5 has broken site. Images not showing – Plugins broken

You have a jQeuery error that may be the root of this:

First, make sure everything’s up to date. If it is, you’re going to have to find where that string occurs and replace

a[href*=#]

with

`a[href*=”#”]

One bit of advice — if there are more errors like that, fixing the first one will reveal the next.

Use your browser’s inpsector to view the error console to check for erors.

String Locator is just sitting there mocking me. Is there another alternative?

try searching for “=#” or something like that. If you know the syntax, you can use grep.

It’s in the menu, so if there’s any section of your theme or a plugin that deals with the menu, that might be the place.

Use the developer tools in Firefox (or Firebug) or Chrome or Safari or IE to check for Javascript errors and then read the path to find the file to edit.
