Scheduling slides

Hi,

I’ve been searching for quite a while now and looks like no slider plugin for WordPress has this capability. I’m looking for something to schedule my slides, ie.
– show a specific slide (not the whole slideshow) only between two dates
– show a specific slide only on specific weekdays (eg. monday and thursday).

As this does not seem to exist yet, I guess I or someone else would have to develop it. So my question is: how one would go about making these modifications to Meta Slider? I know there are lots of hooks and filters in Meta Slider, but would that be enough to make this work? And how about the admin interface?

I am not looking for a full solution here, mostly guidance so I can try my hand at this, but I would like to know beforehand if it is possible.
