• I was previewing my Instant Articles using page manager on my phone (currently going through review process) and noticed that a contact form template I had just edited was popping up as an Instant Article! I also noticed a recent email someone sent me using the contact form included too.

The strange thing is that neither of these things are included in my IA RSS feed at /feed/instant-articles. I can only think they are coming via the API? To be clear my contact form is a page in WP, not a post.

I can’t think of how FB/IA could have gotten the contents of the email sent via the contact form to me!

More info: the emails are in the “production feed” in the app on my phone, not the “development feed”. I have my proper RSS URL https://www.example.com/feed/instant-articles added as both the production and development feed on my IA settings page on FB.

This is happening to me too, contact form feedback is automatically published in the production section, and that is not good.
I am assuming this is because the plugin works through the API not the feed.

I can now confirm that any page or other update is causing that “thing” (ie page, contact form, etc) to be shown in the production preview of my IA feed in the Page Manager app on my phone.

Also confirming that once I disconnected the plugin from my page and my IA app on the plugin settings screen (ie removed API access and just using RSS) that the issue is fixed (page update does not create an instant article).

But I think that it won’t create instant articles fr poss as well if you disconnect the plugin form the app…did you try that?

I did not try to make a new post using RSS feed only, but I updated an old post and it was in the RSS feed successfully.

Note to devs: this issue with API doesn’t just affect pages, but I updated a contact plugin form and it was shown via API, as well as an email someone sent to me using the Jetpack plugin contact form!
