Forum sortware

  • Hi,

    I’ve been looking for forum software that can blog, and i came across wordpress and thought it was blog software that had a forum. But after installing it, I don’t see one.

    Is there a forum in the default installation I’m just not seeing, or is it a plug in, or can other forums work with the wordpress’ authentication such as phpbb?

  • There is forum in a default installation. bbPress has been designed to integrate easily with WordPress (it’s the software powering this forum), but it has very few features.

    A lot of people, including me, have integrated many other forum applications with WordPress, with various degrees of difficulty. PHPBB and Vanilla are two that were fairly straightforward.
