• Just launched a Squarespace website and after I did the client then tells me she can no longer get to her blog that she created in WordPress. She never told me she had a blog until it was too late (her old site was created in Joomla). We can no longer access the blog because Squarespace does not support WordPress. The major problem is we need to get the content from the blog and add it to the Squarespace site, but there is no way for us to get to the blog anymore as her wp-login page no longer works and comes up with a 404 page. I have tried recovering her old site’s IP address and cannot. She had a local hosting company for her old site and they are no help, nor is Squarespace. Squarespace does have an option to import the content from WordPress, but that is not working because her WP link no longer works (www.greentreeyoga.org/Blog /wp-login.php).
All I need to do is find a way to access her WordPress. Any ideas? And please keep explanations simple as I am still learning some things.

  • SquareSpace does not use WordPress. If you switched to SquareSpace users will need to sign up again or you will need to revert back to your old host and WP.

@gtyadmin – did you ever figure this out? I have exactly the same issue. Do I need to actually switch the domain back to WordPress, scrape all my blog posts and then point it back to my squarespace site? Surely there is a way to get back to login to my WordPress site?
