WP not updating & have no WP engine button clear caches

  • Hi,

    I’m very new to www.ads-software.com, although I’ve had a .com blog for quite a while. I’ve switched to a .org site to try and build myself an online portfolio but so far I’m really struggling it’s all so confusing!
    I’m using the twenty fourteen theme, I’m making changes to it in my customiser but it’s not changing when I google my site. I’ve googled why this might be happening and apparently I need to clear my sites caches, but I don’t have any cache plugins (I don’t think..I’m not very good at this) and I don’t have a WP engine button in the top left of the admin where apparently I can clear them.
    Getting so frustrated every time I try and make any changes, nothing is working! Finding it all very tricky, would love some help please.

    I also can’t make a drop down menu work, but that’s another story.
