Big problem after manual update

    Hello – I just manually updated WordPress, disabled all plugins first and did everything by the book as I have a number of times before and now I am getting the following error that I cannot seem to fix:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘global’ (T_GLOBAL) in /var/www/vhosts/cjmsolutions.ca/httpdocs/wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 435

    Please help!

    Assuming you downloaded the latest version of WP from www.ads-software.com and uploaded it via FTP, I’d also assume something went wrong with that file. Try uploading it again.

    I re=uploaded in Binary mode and it fixed the problem, Thanks for your help.
