    Try MailPoet plugin, it works.

    Hi pavlakmc,

Thanks for trying out Post Notif. I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems, though.

Have you set the “email sender email address” to an address that is known (and trusted) by your host? The subscription widget relies on AJAX, so be sure you have JavaScript enabled in your browser when you test it (you should see a message saying that it is “Processing..” as soon as you hit the submit button.

If you’ve decided to follow stillbluewaters’ advice and have already moved on to MailPoet, no worries. ??

    Thanks,
    Devon

I tried MailPoet but it didn’t work either. And adding an RSS widget also doesn’t work ??

    Hi pavlakmc,

I see what you mean – I just tried to subscribe but, as you said, nothing happens when you hit the “Sign me up!” button. When I look at your page source, all the Post Notif elements I’d expect to see are there. However, I also see that there are a bunch of other JavaScript files included. I wonder if perhaps Post Notif is conflicting with another plugin or your theme.

If you are willing to do some experimentation (ideally in a development or test environment, not your live site), I’d suggest (temporarily) disabling all of your other plugins to see if Post Notif then starts to work. If it does, start activating each of your other plugins, one-at-a-time, until Post Notif stops working, in order to identify the culprit.

If you can determine which plugin is conflicting and you send me a link to it, I can take a look in my test environment, confirm I can recreate the conflict and then see if there is a way to make them happily co-exist.

    Thanks,
    Devon

I don’t have any plugins enabled. I have akismet and jetpack but they are not enabled.

    I guess its my theme?

    Hi pavlakmc,

It may well be your theme, then. If you have a chance, try switching to Twenty Sixteen (or another theme included with WordPress core) and see if that causes the Post Notif subscribe button to start working. I’d be curious to hear what the results of that test are.

    Thanks,

    It’s the theme. Thanks.

    Hi pavlakmc,

Thanks for the additional info. I am sorry the theme and plugin are conflicting. I wish I had the ability to test my plugins with every combo of theme and plugin out there, but obviously that is not realistic. ??

I hope you can either modify your theme such that the Post Notif button works or find another post notification plugin that suits your needs (of course changing themes might allow you to use Post Notif too, but I never expect people to choose my plugin over the look-and-feel of their site! ?? ).

    Thanks,
    Devon
