  • let’s say I have a product which sells for $5 and the shipping price is $5, now, if I will add another instance of the product the shipping price will be $10, which isn’t fair as in my case it should be something like $7, can I do that?

Maybe we can implement, if you’re using the “per item” option, special prices above certain quantities. Would that fit your needs?

    Example:
You set 5 for the flat rate and then you set this on the new field:
    2|4
    10|3
    20|2
    30|1
    40|0

So if the client buys 1 item he pays 5. If he buys 2 he pays 2*4. If he buys 10 to 19 he pays the qtt*3, and so on…

I would invite everyone to discuss on this thread the best way to handle this.

Is there a possibility to add something like a basic shipping or handling price?

    I don’t understand this.

Another question, how can different shipping prices set/items?

Yes, that would fit my needs! Now, I don’t understand where to set for example 2|4? Where is that “new field”? ??

That new field does not exist. It’s a proposal.

Oh, OK! Well, it would make a BIG difference! Please think about implementing! Otherwise it’s not really useful! Thanks!

I have a lot of products (mostly books) with different shipping prices…so, it would be a cool feature!

This is NOT the purpose of this plugin. This plugin is for “flat rate”, per item or per product.
I’m proposing to implement a variable rate based on product quantity and NOT on specific products.

I think it would be great to have a possible unit discount, available for all units after a certain number. Example: a customer buys 1 item and pays a 5€ flat rate por each. If he buys 9, he pays 5€x9 but if the order is of 10 units, then instead of paying 5€x10, we would pay 4€x10.
