[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Events announcements display by Publish date

When I am displaying Events as a list they are sorted by Event date. How can I sort them by Publish date and display that publish date? I.e. I need to display Events just like regular Posts (just with extra fields / behaviour inside; but absolutely similar to Posts when displayed in the list).
