Configuration error using [select] for recipient

If I use a form field like this so the user can select a recipient:
<p>Send this to<br /> [select your-recipient "Bob|[email protected]" "Mary|[email protected]"]</p>And I use this short code in the Mail tab in the form settings for the “To:” field:
[your-recipient]I get a syntax error, but the form works.
Is this not the correct way to do this?
