No integration with MyBookTable

    I downloaded and installed this plugin just this evening. When I first set up MyBookProgress, the progress bar was showing up in MyBookTable under the page for the book I wanted. When I went back a few minutes later however it had completely disappeared.

    Clicking on the “information” icon on the widget still takes me to my book on MyBookTable but there is no longer a progress bar showing.

    I haven’t updated/uploaded any other plugins. I know I’m using a version of wordpress that hasn’t been checked with the current version of this plugin but I wouldn’t have expected the progress bar to have shown up initially at all if it was a version problem?

    Hi @carmenshea,

    I’m not able to reproduce this on our test site with the latest versions of the plugins. Are you sure you have MyBookProgress 1.0.0 and MyBookTable 2.3.2?

    If you do, can you please provide us with links to your website where this is happening so I can take a look?

    Hey Tim,

    I’m definitely running MyBookProgress 1.0.0 & MyBookTable 2.3.2.

    The MyBookProgress widget is running on my sidebar. And the ‘information’ button on the widget links to this novel page: https://carmenshea.co.uk/novels/amanzimtoti-inyoni-rocks/ but no progress information is actually showing.

    Hi @carmenshea,

    Hmmm, I see what you’re saying. I’m not sure what could cause this, we haven’t seen this on any of our other sites.

    First, I would try going into the MyBookProgress book in question and changing the MyBookTable that it is connected to to a different book. Check to see if that makes the bar work on that book. Then, change it back to the original book and see what happens. Maybe something when wrong when connecting the books.

    Also, check in the MyBookTable book, on that page there should be a new metabox called “MyBookProgress” that says what MyBookProgress book it is connected to. That may not be set correctly.

    Turns out it was the new metabox I needed to tick (odd that it showed up initially though!), so that’s all sorted now and it’s showing up.

    No problem! The metabox should have been set up automatically by MyBookProgress and you shouldn’t have needed to go set up up manually, but maybe something went wrong during it’s setup that caused it to get out of whack. I’ll have to keep an eye out for that in the future and see if it’s a reproducible problem or just a one-time incident. In any case, I’m glad it’s working for you now. ??
