  • You can hide it using CSS. You need to find out what the classes that are used are and then add

    display: none;

    to the css for those classes.

    For example if the class is named userbox your css would look like this:

    .userbox {
    display: none;
    }

    Thank you for responding.

    I had tried that…. I was able to remove the logout button that way.. but there is no class around the “Hi username”.

    <div class="entry-content">
    					Hi center-admin<br/> <a class="btn" href="https://cpginteractive.com/centerstar/wp-login.php?action=logout&redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fcpginteractive.com%2Fcenterstar&_wpnonce=d257585203">Logout</a><div class="et_pb_section et_pb_fullwidth_section  et_pb_section_0 et_pb_with_background et_section_regular">

    					<div class="et_pb_module et_pb_slider et_pb_slider_no_arrows et_pb_slider_no_pagination et_slider_auto et_slider_speed_4000 et_slider_auto_ignore_hover et_pb_slider_no_shadow  et_pb_fullwidth_slider_0">
    				<div class="et_pb_slides">

    hmm. What theme are you using? Some themes store that in the header while others put it in the page.php. I want to look so that I can give you specific instructions how to fix it. It will require creating a child theme.

    i am using the divi theme.

    Oh. I am pretty sure they put this in the header file.

    Can you please share the code for the header.php file.

    Share code using pastebin.com

    I think it has something to do with the plugin. “Simple User Registration”. I think it might be something they are adding in.

    I do not think so. Let me take a look at the code and get back to you.

    Is this the plugin you are referring to? https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-registration/

    yes that is it.

    We have a simple site that we only want our clients to see. They all see that same thing. If they would have to request access using the form from that plugin, and then we get an email to approve or deny them access.

    Could you provide me a link to your website so I can see it for myself?

    Also, do I understand correctly that you do not want visitors to be able to sign up at all?

    [ REDACTED ]

    I made it so that you can only see the login page.

    The Plugin development said it was not their issue.

    thank you for your help on this.

    You did not answer my question though. Did you want to make it so visitors can not signup at all?

    Thread Starter toddcpg

    (@toddcpg)

    yes and no.

    They have to fill in the registration form and then an email is sent to the admin. The admin will approve or deny the user access from there.

    So yes they can sign up for access, but that does not mean they get access.

    Okay, unfortunately, I am at a stand still with this. I looked at the plugin and I do not see how that could be adding this code. In my experience, this code that generates the text you are trying to hide is in the theme.

    Can you share the code for page.php using pastebin. That may have the code I am looking for in it.

    Thanks.

    It is very strange. The plugin developer send it is not his plugin that is causing the issue and the theme developer is saying that it is not them and the plugin.
