Wistia thumbnails are not generating

  • Hi,

    I just updated wordpress to latest version and the plugin stopped generating thumbnails for wistia videos. I am using inline embed code from wistia wihtout using oEmbed -> Use oEmbed URL (Recommended for WordPress) option.

    Earlier the thumbnails were fine but as soon as I updated WP the thumbnails were gone. I tested the plugin on a fresh install of WP 4.5 and older with default plugins and theme but it didn’t generate thumbnails so it doesn’t seem to be a upgarde issue.

    When I used inline embed code with oEmbed -> Use oEmbed URL (Recommended for WordPress) option checked on wistia the I saw the thumbnails on my posts.

    So is this a plugin issue or something happened at wistia? How can I fix this? I can’t change embedded video links because there are thousands of video posts on my website.
