    Hello,

Somehow (I imagine on an upgrade or site migration) GigPress has duplicated all my venues (over 200 of them) and in the process tied the shows at the original venue to the duplicate venues as well.

I went to delete the duplicates (one by one as I’m unsure how to do this in mass) but since the shows from the original venues were tied to the duplicate venues I’m unable to delete the duplicate venues from within the admin.

Is there an easier way to delete the duplicates instead of having to unset the shows tied to them first?

For a few venues it wouldn’t be that big of a deal but like I said, having to go through over 200 venues, find which shows are tied to them and unset them first, then remove the venue is going to take a considerable amount of time.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi and sorry to hear about the troubles,

You could delete the duplicate venues by doing an SQL query or there might be a plugin in the WP repo that can identify duplicate venues and potentially give you the option to delete them all at once.

Good luck getting the duplicates removed and have a good rest of your weekend.
