    Hi,

    I have installed the latest version of the plugin on top of my WP v4.5.2 but when i go to a page/post and click on the icon – i am just presented with a dropdown box to select a widget and it does not show any add/remove/edit options – its just a plain white ovelay page. I tried deactivating and even re-installing the plugin but am getting the same issue.

    Theme : Customizr
    Widget : Featured Post Widget

    Thanks,
    Shiv

    Thanks for the report Shivakumar, and the details you have provided are really useful.

    I can confirm that running this on WordPress 4.5.2 with some of the default themes (Twenty Sixteen etc) and default widgets it is working OK.

    If possible could you also confirm the following?

    * If you were using the plugin pre 4.5.2 did you also see this issue?
    * Is it just the Featured Post Widget that you have the issue with? And is is this one?
    * Is it the Free or Pro version of customizr?

    I’ll be running up an environment to check as many of these configurations off and will let you know how I get on, but the info above would also be really useful.

    Thanks

    I have tested the following combo and all seems to work as expected.

    * WordPress : 4.5.2
    * Customizr Free : 3.4.21
    * Featured Post Widget : 3.2.1
    * Turbo Widgets : 1.0.2

    One thing to note though, which is only relevant if you’re using the Featured Post plugin I mention above, is that it is throwing quite a few errors due to deprecated function calls… these could be impacting your experience.

    Does not work on Hueman theme. Just dropdown with blank white form. I am using 4.5.2.

    Interesting @tjpcampbell, thanks for reporting.

    Are you seeing an empty drop down or can you select the widget type and then you get a blank form?

    I have just tried this with the following and it seems to work… how very strange.

    * WordPress : 4.5.2
    * Hueman : 3.1.3
    * Turbo Widgets : 1.0.2

    Perhaps there is something else that is going wrong. Would you be happy to list the other plugins you have running? And also, if you can get it, the version of PHP you are running?

    Thanks!

    Yes, I can select the widget type and then I get the blank white form.

    Thanks again. I def am not seeing this in my setup ??

    If you could provide info about the other plugins and PHP version you have that would be aces, thanks.

    I am using godaddy on latest PHP. I’m just going to have to use the shortcode plugin.

    Hey @tjpcambell, by latest, do you mean php v7? It’d be great to find out so I can get this working. I think you can find it with the help of this link, Thanks.

    Looking at this godaddy page, I would not think you’re on PHP v7 @tjpcampbell. If you could confirm what version you are on that would be really helpful, thanks.

    Hey there, I’m using the theme SKT Black and I’m getting the same problem described above. “select the widget type and then you get a blank form”

    I would like to know how to go the shortcode route instead

    Hey Mauro,

    Thanks for reporting the issue.

    Could you please let me have some more details, if you can?

    • WordPress Version
    • Turbo Widgets Version
    • PHP Version
    • Which other plugins you have
    • Could you also let me know what OS and browser you are using?

    I’d love to get to the bottom of the issue, it’s annoying me that so far I have not been able to reproduce it. Thanks in advance.

    Mauro, Update: I have tried this on WordPress 4.5.2 with SKT Black version 1.4.1 and it all seems to work OK. This was using the Chrome browser.

    Hey all, you’ll be pleased to hear I think I’m en-route to working out what was up with displaying the widget config screen.

    Are any of you happy to try out a fix for me (it will involve uploading a PHP file to your server)? Thanks in advance ??
