Sort/Arrange Contacts by role

Hi ,
I am using connection plugin version 8.5.14,template named Profile Entry Card 3.0 , love the plugin only thing I was hoping to change was to sort/ arrange role of contacts by role in a category.

Eg category 1 has 5 contacts , but I need one of the contacts from category show 1st in the list rather than 2nd or 3rd. like that contact may be department head/leader followed by rest of the contacts. I tried looking for answers online and came across https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/sortarrange-contacts-by-role?replies=4 but could not make it work please if you can assist .
