• I recently requested for my plugin PngPainter to be added to the WP plugins directory, and the request got approved on 04/01/08. However, when I try to log in to the svn directory, I get the following error :

    SVN Error :
    svn: CHECKOUT of ‘/!svn/ver/37643/pngpainter/trunk’: 403 Forbidden (https://svn.wp-plugins.org)

Also, the only note in the log is the following posted by plugin-mc :
“adding pngpainter by tomb” (date : 04/02/08)

I would really appreciate any help ??

PS : I use svnX 0.9.13 on Mac OS 10.5.2 to upload my plugins. (The others work without a hassle)

  • I am experiencing exactly the same issue right now. Requested for my plugin on 2008-4-22 and on the ‘Add Your Plugin’ page there’s

    [approved] admin-management-extended from Alphawolf [plugin]

I cant commit my files to the SVN, though. Error is similar to the one of the topic starter:

    Error: CHECKOUT of ‘/!svn/ver/42386/admin-management-extended/trunk’: 403 Forbidden (https://svn.wp-plugins.org)

    Using Tortoise SVN for Windows.

I have exactly the same problem as tomb with my ‘projectmanager’ plugin. The funny thing is, two other plugins that I have requested after the problem-making-plugin work just fine.

I have the exact same problem right now. It’s quite bothersome, unfortunately. The Automattic team is aware of the problem, though, so they’re probably looking into it.

Glad to see I’m not alone in this. ??

Is there any solution? Experiencing the same thing right now.

I’m having the same problem. I’m also approved.

It’s now a month ago that my plugin has been approved but i still can’t login to the svn repository. That’s pretty annoying. Is there anybody to contact who can fix this or any other solution to the problem besides new plugin hosting request?? …

I did that a week ago or so already.

Then do it again. And again. Until you get an answer. Word it differently each time, you might be identified as spam or something and so nobody noticed it.

There is no other method for complaints or problems with the site except that link. Nobody else can help you and there is no other avenue to pursue.

Also, if you don’t put in a valid and working email address on that form, you’ll never get any sort of response and nobody will bother to look at your issue.
