• Hey Guys,

I’m just wondering if there’s a way to add/change the colors palette in the content editor?
I don’t know if it matters, but I’m using the Advanced Custom Field WYSIWYG editor.

I got three colours that i want to add:
    #694559
    #b88d31
    #FFF4E1

I want those colour to be pickable when the user click on the font colour dropdown instead of adding them manually every time.

    Thanks!

  • I’m not sure if there’s an actual color palette available, but as an alternative you could always try using a simple dropdown with three options (each option representing a particular color), so that the user can just pick it from that dropdown.

A color picker would actually give the user many more options, so a standard select box with 3 options, would ensure that the user picks one of the three colors, and not anything else.

Hmm I’m fairly new to WordPress, so I’m not entirely sure how to do what you’re suggesting?

If you have time can you give me a break down on how I would do that?

You’d have to create a new custom field in ACF, of type “Select”, and then add some options in there. I’m not sure what you want to do with the options in the templates, though. Since you mentioned ACF, I was under the impression you were familiar with that system, but if not, I’d suggest reading the ACF documentation — much helpful information in there: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/

Hmm ok I see what you mean. I’ll check it out.

    Thanks
