I need to post to Facebook with the short description.

  • Hello Jeremy Herve, i have looked everywhere but could not found the solution.
    I love Jetpack and publicize. Well, i have been have a problem.

    The problem is that i need to show SHORT TITLE, LINK & Featured IMAGE in the auto post to Facebook.
    It is already working fine in twitter but not working the way i need it in Facebook.

    i have read your answer to Fsadario but i do not understand how to show the link and title only in all posts in the auto posting to Facebook.
    If there is any coding which i will have to do then can you please send me that. i have been waiting to do this from such a long time..

    Can you link to the thread you’re talking about here so I can take a closer look?

    However, using the Title, Custom Message, and Excerpt, you can customize the way any posts get shared to Facebook. If you don’t change the default custom message, it will post a longer excerpt of your post content. You can see a cheat sheet my colleague made of how to make your Posts look like you want here:

    I have a question. I’ve looked at the cheat sheet, but it doesn’t actually provide information as to HOW to get the custom message to look like that! I’ve tried cutting and pasting, pasting in the short link, nothing I do has the effect of making the custom message work.
