    Please i am having issues with granting anonymous users, who just wish to post after marking this option ” Use registered username as post author. Valid when the person submitting the form is logged in to WordPress“. If i unmark the above option register user information don’t show up when they make a post but rather assigned authors information appears for all post submitted.

    Yep that’s how it works, if I understand you correctly. Basically if the user is logged in when submitting a post, then that setting tells WordPress to use their registered username as the Post Author. Otherwise the default assigned author is used as the Post Author.

    In the case of user’s who are not registered but want to make posts,this is the reply they get “user login required”. This is when this option is marked ” Use registered username as post author. Valid when the person submitting the form is logged in to WordPress”. Please i would like to if it possible for unregistered user to post with this the above option marked.

    I’m not sure if I understand, but here is how it works:

    – if the user is logged in AND that setting is enabled, then their registered username will be used as the Post Author

    – if the user is not logged in, the Default Assigned Author will be used as the Post Author, regardless of whether the setting is enabled
