• I’m using this theme.

It is pre-2.5 and when I add a widget to the side bar it removes all of the sidebar topic’s title formatting.

The theme has great graphics for the titles of the sidebar material but if I change the widgets at all the formatting goes away and there is only a title in plain text.

I am too much of a newbie to know what is happening. I am guessing it is a problem with compatibility with 2.5 because as I understand it the way WP handles widgets has changed. I have not used WP before 2.5 so I don’t know any different.

Thanks in advance for helping me out.

    Bump

The way widgets are handled has changed but not the way they display. You should probably post a link to your blog.

Okay, after digging a little more I think the answer lies here

But I still don’t know how to make the formatting appear in the widgets. I realize that this must be kindergarten WP stuff. But perhaps someone could point me in the right direction.

I am assuming I need to set the CSS to make widget headings appear like they do in the hard-coded default page. But how?

Also, since I am being a noob and bothering you all anyway let me ask two more dumb noob questions that are surely answered in the Codex somewhere.

    1) What do I need to do to make a specific graphic (that I have that did not come with ColorsIdea 2.1) show up?

2)Also, is there a way to have a different background image appear on each page?

    Thank you WP gurus ??

How widget intense do you need your sidebar to be?

After trying to go about it the way you are, I discovered it was MUCH easier to just remove all the widgets and “hard code” the sidebar, instead. But then I only need some text, tags, categories, and links in my sidebar.
