Adding "play" icon on generated featured image

Hello,
is it possible to include a “play this” icon and print it on the generated featured image from youtube link?

i am using the themeforest theme dw fixel: https://themeforest.net/item/dw-fixel-responsive-wordpress-blog-theme/6589637

In the home this theme displays only the featured image… so users doesn’t understand if a post is a video or an image

Any solution for this?
