Simultaneously customising a second theme

  • Apologies if this is yet another post of this topic. Just when I thought I knew what I was doing!

    Would like to know how I can customise a second theme while my original is up and running, without activating and changing my wp settings of the original theme/site please?

    I’m thinking something to do with uploading the childtheme.zip?
