Dsiaply of custom post date field in Yoast metadescription template

    I have a custom post type created with wp-types and am using Yoast SEO.

    I have added custom fields to the yoast metadescription template for the post type as follows:

    This event will take place on %%cf_wpcf-event-date%% in %%cf_wpcf_location%%. Cost is %%cf_cost%%.

    The cost and location field output fine but the date outputs as a date-time number so the output looks like:

    This event will take place on 146577600 in London. Cost is ￡60.

    Does anyone know any way of displaying the date correctly?
