Moving from WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com (on inmotion) / moving domain name

Hi there,

I’m currently trying to move an existing wordpress.com blog to my personal server hosted by inmotion. I’m struggling to get things going – here is my situation:

I am already running a WordPress site via inmotion hosting, and have been running a different site on wordpress.com (premium) for the past year. So far so good, but the Premium subscription is running out, and I want both sites to be self-hosted on the same server.

Does anyone have any advice on how to:
– create a new www.ads-software.com category in cPanel
– transfer it from WordPress.com (I am using their transfer guide, but am struggling to get the initial set-up going)
– transfer my purchased domain from my old wordpress.com site to the new self-hosted site?

I would appreciate your help a lot!
