WordPress as Booking Agency platform

Hey Folks,

I’m about to start a booking agency for musicians and was wondering if anyone thinks it would be feasible to run a WP-site as the platform to handle all the calendar, venue management… I know there are applications out there who provide all the infrastructure needed but they are cost prohibitive at this point…

Any thought / tricks / tips / advice is appreciated.
