Featured Images Rotator

Hi,

Correct me if I’m wrong on this, but –

A while ago, I think that there was a choice in post formats, ‘aside’, ‘video’, ‘gallery’ etc, which seems to have disappeared with the advancement of WordPress.

I like many others no doubt, didn’t want or need any of those formats, but one – ‘gallery’ – allowed for the posting of multiple featured images which then appeared as a slideshow gallery on the post, or on the post-entry in the case of a portfolio-type set-up.

Or was it a plugin, maybe?

In any case, I was interested in this last scenario – can anyone suggest something that will allow for the posting of multiple featured images within a post that will show as a slideshow on the post-entry ‘post’?
