Google cant read sitemap

Check the PHP of your templates in Appearance Editor. I’m betting you have a close-tag missing. I’ve seen this before…

Thanks Perry. Any idea where this omission might be? I’m new to all of this and have about 50 different templates with my theme.

Usually testing some of your posts with F12/console in Chrome is good start.

Failing that, trying turning off W3TC plugin and try again.

I get the same error for that also. Will turning off the W3TC affect site adversely affect speed?

You’ll notice that it’s completely empty.
Google is giving me the same error.

I’ve already disabled W3TC and that didn’t fix the issue. In fact, I was having this issue before I installed w3tc

@sexydawnt, i checked your sitemap, and it is not empty.
But it does not have the styling such as Yoas SEO XML’s style.

@krisbud, your sitemap seems valid now. Can you please retest your sitemap_index.xml in Google Search Console?

Thanks @taco Verdonschot. I have resubmitted and at the moment it is listed as pending with the same error message identified June 7th.
