Cannot customise Home Hero section

  • Hi Everyone,

    I’m very to ask as I believe the answer is a simple “No”, however, I wanted to give it a try anyway as it’s quite important to me.

    Apologise if this has been asked before, however, I’ve researched for over 2 hours now and just couldn’t find anything.

    I’ve got my website set up in 2 different languages, using the free Sensible theme from ModernThemes (https://modernthemes.net/wordpress-themes/sensible/).

    I can customise the different pages via the pages option, however, the home hero section is customised via “Appearance – Customise – Home Hero Section”. I just cannot find or see a way to customise this for both languages.

    I did find a solution when it comes to slideshows or text only, however, this is a mixture of both and so I’m just not quite sure if there is any other option.

    I saw that at some point that other people had the options to choose different groups when clicking on Settings, Language, Strings Translations. One of them was the “customise language” option, however, I do not have this option (I only have group widget and wordpress seo).

    Does that mean my theme just doesn’t offer additional languages?

  • I have this problem with the Rise Pro theme. Very frustrating, as of course the Home Hero is the first thing people see. How to have it translated?

    The Polylang documentation does say that Loco Translate is a plugin that should be able to extract all strings, but I am still figuring out how to do that. Just posting here in case it helps you. I know…many months late…
