polylang / preview home page OK, real site not OK

  • Hello
    I’ve a got WordPress FR (WordPress francophone) updated to the latest regularly.
    I’ve got a child theme (just a few colors changed) from Customizr and Customizr is updated to the latest.
    I’m using the “3 featured pages” mode for the home page and it is OK
    I’ve started to install polylang to have in addition to the native french language some translations into US english.
    Everything runs according to the docs (thanks for the work!) except one thing… the home page.
    I’ve created 3 translations for the 3 featured pages so the extract should be displayed in the correct language, right?
    Well, it’s the case in the preview mode when you’ve ot the home page settings menu.
    However, if I go to the real site:
    – the page in French (initial language) which is displayed is a static page, which is one I had before activating the 3 featured pages model.
    – in English, this gets weird, I’ve got a set of posts, which may or may not be in English.
    – As soon as I disable Polylang, the preview choices I make in the home page settings are reflected in the real site.
    I’ve tried to disable all other plugins one by one but with no result.
    What’s the difference between preview and real site then?

    Currently, with Polylang disabled, the standard home page is at:
    https://www.ameddias.org

    I am having the same issue with my site. When i preview it though my Word Press Dashboard, it looks as it should, but when I got to the live site is not showing what it should. Like, when I click on Cheesecakes under recipes on my menu at the top of the Home page, there should be a few Cheesecake recipes showing with pictures, but there is only one. Same thing with my Snack Category. I have double checked my posts to make sure they are set up correctly and I have them set up the same as the ones that do show. It was working correctly the past few days. What could be causing this?

    Is the language switcher working? I am not able to switch to English.

    As the Polylang extension was not enabled, it was normal ??
    I’ve re-enabled it and you can now see the “wrong version”,
    no featured page at all.

    I think I found the bug.
    Before switching to the 3 featured pages, I was using a static page that was tagged as ‘home page’
    If I remove that tag (or put that page into the recycle bin), I get my 3 featured pages layout back, whatever the language.

    The question about why the preview wasn’t affected by the bug or why the issue showed up only with polylang activated still remains.

    And the bbug is back after creating a new post,
    – used featured page
    – no latest posts

    and the latest posts are still displayed and no featured page are displayed in real mode whereas the preview mode is OK

    BUg reproduced with simple site WordPress 4.5.2 + Customizr 3.4.21 + Polylang 1.9.2
    – Without Polylang, featured pages are OK
    – With POlylang, home page displays no feature page anymore

    Did you disable polylang now?
    Can you see if activating it there’s anything wrong your dashboard
