Role Manager – problems with capabilities

I’m running WP 2.5 and RM 2.2.2.

What I want to do is to make one page private and then assign permission to one role to be able to view it. But when I do this and log in as that user type, I still can’t see the private page. Making the page private does remove the link to it from the navigation generally, but also from this user type, even though “read private pages” is ticked in RM.

The superadmin can see the private page.

I have the desired user type set to user level 2.

Am I missing anything?
