  • I have same problem. All menu broke. I can’t even edit page.
    I got 404 page. So… panic~~~

I made it deactivate, and try to install previous version.
However, keep getting error message when i try to activate.

    Is new version safe?
If it isn’t, how can I make activate previous version?

    Please advise!!!!

@jimothyquick, can you please share the relevant errors from your PHP and server’s error logs? Without information about what failed, there’s hardly anything we can do to help you resolve this.

If you don’t know how to gather that information, please contact your web host. They should be able to provide it to you.

Taco, I am seeing tons of people complaining. It broke my site also. Here is the error

[Tue Jun 14 18:10:46 2016] [error] [client XXXXXX] PHP Fatal error: Undefined class constant ‘PAGE_IDENTIFIER’ in /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-config.php on line 85

After digging further I solved the issue by flushing the APC cache and CDN. However, the content highlighting feature doesn’t work. So when you click the eye icon for content to highlight the content in the visual editor it doesn’t highlight the text at all. Any thoughts?

No errors show in the browser but the server logs show this:

PHP Warning: DOMDocument::loadHTML(): htmlParseEntityRef: expecting ‘;’ in Entity, line: 17 in /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/sitemaps/class-sitemap-image-parser.php on line 139

Don’t know that they are related

@ nzrobfl, issues with marking text is a different topic. Can you please create a new thread for it? That way it’s easier for us to match replies with a specific problem. Thanks!

The DOMDocument warning will be solved in 3.3.1, which we expect to release later today.

Update 3.3.0 partially overturned the website. I can not publish new articles or edit old articles> white screen of the death.
But when I connect with a publisher account, everything works … Only the administrator account is affected.
    Please HEEEELP :/

@brugees: This is not your topic. If you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

After enabling PHP error logging, restarting the site, and re-activating the Yoast plugin I could not recreate the Yoast problem.

@taco Thanks for the update on the PHP error, will start another thread on the marking text

Updated the 3.3.1 on another site and had a similar problem on the PHP error.

PHP Fatal error: Class ‘WPSEO_Metabox_Editor’ not found in C:\inetpub\vhosts\sanclementedonor.redfontmarketing.com\httpdocs\wp-content\plugins\wordpress-seo\admin\metabox\class-metabox.php on line 42

There is another class file called class-metabox-editor.php in the same folder so i’m not sure what’s wrong. I restarted the site and the error no longer appears. Very strange bug…not sure why the call to that file would fail until the site was restarted.
