    hey Folks,
first thanx for this great plugin.

i run Duplicator under the last versions of WP, and Woocommerce (Storefront Theme, child Galleria).
When i download and run the Duplicator installation, Duplicator has changed always the same filenames.
In the WP directory “plugins/woocommerce/includes/admin/” is a folder called views. It contains files with a name structure like “html-xxx.xxx.php” always with “html” at the beginning. This filenames getting changed. Duplicator is changing the “html” at the beginning into “views” and putting the files not into the views folder but outside in the same directory. This caused for sure errors and malfunctions of the WP backend.
There is a subfolder “meta-boxes” and a “views” folder inside. Same behave…

how it comes and what to do?

  • That is very odd… I have not ever heard of that happening. I’m not really sure how the Duplicator can do that as it only extracts the files it zipped up. If you view the archive.zip with a tool like winzip/winrar etc. are the files correctly placed in the archive before you run the installer?

    thanx for the fast answer.
no, if i extract the zip file manually there are wrong named and placed as well. on the server the files are correctly placed and named.
    so it happened while packing.
i used duplicator many times for wordpress and woocommerce. i never had this problem.
could it be a server settings problem?

Do those files have utf8 characters in them by chance? Also you say its just one directory correct?
