• Hello guys, I need your help.

First of all let me mention that I am an artist and know almost nothing in programming…
    So the problem is:
Half of year ago, when I need to add the images into post I am using the “Add Media” button,
selecting the images from PC, successfully uploading them to WP, then using CTRL selecting up to 20-25 images at once and press “Insert into post”.
Next what happening – all links to the images just appear in the post body, which is great, and that’s how everything must be.
Around a month ago I start mention that if I am selecting more then 10-12 images they just don’t appear in the post body. The field stays clear. And only if I’m selecting with CTRL less then 10 images, only in this case they appear in the post.
Yesterday it allowed me to post no more then 4 images.
Right now I can’t paste in the post body more than 2 images at once, using CTRL, which is not good. I’m afraid in a month or so I will not be able to add images to post at all, even as a single piece.

Right now it’s around 1700 images in the library. May be the quantity cause the problem? From another hand all images store not in one folder on server but chronological separated by years\months, which splits the number on parts. I don’t know what to do. Any ideas how to fight that problem?

    Thanks a lot!

  • WordPress has a built-in gallery function.

In the edit post pane, you can click on the “add media” icon and this will open up a drag-and-drop area. You can drag those 12 images to that area and they will all be uploaded at once. Save to close the upload area.

Click on the “add media” icon again, and near the top it will say “Gallery” plus the number of images you just uploaded. You can insert them into the post by clicking on “Show” (which opens up the info for that image) and then clicking on “Insert into post”.

I think you want thumbnails. Including full-size images on a page really slows down load time and is a disincentive for readers to stick around. You can control the size of the thumbnails through Settings >> Media.

    Hello AjitKhodke,

To be simple, I’m doing everything like it said here
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Inserting_Images_into_Posts_and_Pages

The problem appears on the Step 5 from this manual.
It’s said: “-After the image uploader window closes, you will see the image in the text editor window”.

But my window of editor stays blank, except I’m selecting less then 4 images at once.
