Automatic Ping No Longer Working

  • I had this issue just a few days prior to upgrading to 2.5.

    My automatic ping option is no longer pinging automatically when I publish my blog posts.

    For example, when I check Technorati, it will regularly show that my last posts had not pinged their server. However when I do this the manual way, through the Technorati page, or through Ping-O-Matic, it updates.

    This was working great, then suddenly stopped. It does not correlate with any new plugins or any changes.

    I double checked that the URL it points to for automatic ping is correct and hadn’t been changed for some reason.

    Ideas?

  • I am having the exact same problem on 2.5.1. Technorati ping only works manually.

    This seems to be a problem others have posted about.

    Anyone know how to fix this issue?

    Have the same problem and it′s frustrating to say the least. Did anyone of you find a solution to the problem? I’m trying hard to figure it out. I tried turning of all of the plugins and tried pinging but it still didn’t work.

    Same problem here.
