• Hi there,

I’m probably overlooking something very obvious here…but eehm… Where are the page ID’s? The ID’s used to be mentioned on the Manage > Pages page in the admin panel. Not anymore though… And it’s not on the Edit Page page either… Or is it…?
You need the page ID to ‘include’ it in or ‘exclude’ it from the wp_list_pages() function… I now derived them from the url in the admin panel… But I MUST be overlooking something… Right?

    Thanks for your reply!

  • Not overlooking, they are gone. They do not longer show under the Administrative interface, as they used to. Over over the Page link, and the number by the Post= is what you are looking for now.

Now, how to reorganize the page, etc, like it was possible before, by changing ID numbers, no idea.

Now you need a plugin to see the ID (utterly junk to have to do it this way). See https://shurl.us/r/ .

I download this plugin this morning because I was looking for the category IDs myself.

Don’t forget to go to “settings” after activation and hit “update.”

    Thanks for your answers peeps!

Ghe… What the…!? That’s weird and not very practical! We NEED the ID reference! For filtering and, indeed, sorting as well… Although you can also set a separate ‘page order’ ID now.

I think we’ve found a ‘wish’ for the next version of WP: Put the ID reference back into the admin panel please!!! ??
